Description

This Oreo Fudge is a delightful cookies and cream inspired candy that’s easy to make and perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth. Rich, creamy, and loaded with chunks of real Oreos, it’s a fun treat ideal for gatherings or as a homemade gift. With just a few simple ingredients and minimal prep, you can enjoy a decadent fudge bar that melts in your mouth and offers a perfect balance of sweetness and crunch.

Ingredients

Fudge Base

  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 cups white chocolate (unmelted)
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Oreos

  • 25 Oreos

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pan: Line an 8×8 inch square baking pan with aluminum foil to ensure easy removal of the fudge once set.
  2. Melt the Chocolate Mixture: In a medium saucepan, combine the sweetened condensed milk, white chocolate, and sea salt. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until the chocolate has completely melted and the mixture is smooth. Remove from heat.
  3. Add Flavor and Oreos: Stir in the vanilla extract thoroughly. Then crush half of the Oreo cookies into smaller pieces and fold them into the chocolate mixture evenly.
  4. Transfer to Pan: Pour the mixture into the foil-lined pan and smooth out the top evenly with a spatula or the back of a spoon.
  5. Top with Oreos: Arrange the remaining whole Oreos on top of the fudge. For added texture, you can roughly chop these Oreos before placing them on top.
  6. Chill to Set: Place the pan in the refrigerator and chill the fudge for at least 3 to 4 hours, or until firm.
  7. Cut and Serve: Once set, lift the fudge from the pan using the foil. Cut into small squares and serve.

Notes

  • For best results, use good quality white chocolate to ensure smooth texture and flavor.
  • If you prefer a softer fudge, reduce chilling time slightly but be careful not to under-set.
  • You can substitute regular Oreos with gluten-free versions if needed.
  • Store fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator to keep it fresh for up to one week.
  • Feel free to experiment by adding nuts or drizzling with dark chocolate for extra texture and flavor.
