Description

A quick and budget-friendly homemade Mocha Frappuccino with rich chocolate and a hint of sea salt, perfect for a refreshing coffee treat any day. This easy blended iced coffee drink combines strong brewed coffee, creamy milk or cream, chocolate sauce, and your choice of sweetener, ready in just 5 minutes.

Ingredients

Coffee Base

  • ¾ cup strong brewed coffee, chilled or room temperature

Dairy

  • ½ cup milk or cream (or a combo of the two)

Other Ingredients

  • 2 cups ice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1–2 tbsp maple syrup or favorite sweetener, depending on desired sweetness
  • 2–3 tbsp chocolate sauce (more for drizzle!)
  • 2 cranks sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Place the brewed coffee, milk or cream, ice, vanilla extract, maple syrup (or preferred sweetener), chocolate sauce, and sea salt into a high-powered blender.
  2. Blend Until Smooth: Blend all ingredients on high speed until the mixture is smooth and well combined. If the frappuccino is too thin, add additional ice and blend again to reach desired thickness.
  3. Adjust Sweetness: Taste the frappuccino and add more sweetener if needed, blending briefly to mix.
  4. Serve: Pour the frappuccino into a glass immediately. Top with whipped cream and an extra drizzle of chocolate sauce if desired for a café-style finish.

Notes

  • This recipe makes approximately 2 small servings or 1 large serving.
  • Using half and half or a combination of whole milk and heavy cream gives the best richness; skim milk will reduce creaminess.
  • High-quality chocolate sauce such as Ghirardelli or Torani is recommended for authentic Starbucks-like flavor over basic syrups.
  • Use strong brewed coffee or cold brew to maintain robust coffee flavor, as the ice and cream dilute the strength.
  • Adjust the sweetness according to your preference; this is key to personalizing the drink.
