Ingredients
Cake:

- 4 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk

- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Frosting:
- 1 1/2 cups butter, softened
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/2 cups unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 7 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup milk (as needed)
Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (176°C). Lightly grease three 9-inch cake rounds or dust with flour or cocoa powder. In a large mixing bowl, combine all dry ingredients. Add in wet ingredients and beat until smooth. Pour batter into pans and bake for 30-35 minutes. Cool cakes on wire racks.
- Frosting
In a large bowl, beat butter and cream cheese until fluffy. Add cocoa powder and vanilla extract. Beat in powdered sugar gradually. Adjust consistency with milk if needed. Use the frosting to assemble the cake.
