Description

A comforting and creamy baked chicken casserole topped with buttery Ritz crackers and Parmesan cheese for a crispy, golden finish. Perfect for an easy, family-friendly dinner.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 sleeve Ritz crackers, crushed
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then place them in the prepared dish.
  3. In a bowl, combine crushed Ritz crackers, grated Parmesan cheese, and melted butter.
  4. Spread sour cream evenly over the chicken breasts.
  5. Mix the cream of chicken soup with chicken broth, then pour over the chicken.
  6. Sprinkle the cracker mixture evenly over the top of the casserole.
  7. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the topping is golden brown.
  8. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of garlic powder or paprika to the cracker topping.
  • Substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream for a lighter version.
