Description
Peach Pretzel Jello Salad is a delightful and refreshing dessert that combines the crunch of pretzels, the creaminess of a cream cheese layer, and the fruity sweetness of peach Jello and sliced peaches. It’s a perfect balance of salty, sweet, and creamy in every bite.
Ingredients
For the Crust:
- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
For the Cream Cheese Layer:
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 (8 oz) container frozen whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed
For the Jello Layer:
- 2 (3 oz) packages peach-flavored Jello
- 2 cups boiling water
- 2 cups cold water
- 2 cups sliced peaches (fresh or canned, drained)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare Crust: In a medium bowl, combine the crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 3 tablespoons of sugar. Mix until well combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish to form an even layer. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool completely.
- Make Cream Cheese Layer: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and 1 cup of sugar together until smooth and creamy. Fold in the thawed whipped topping until well combined. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel crust. Refrigerate until set, about 30 minutes.
- Prepare Jello Layer: In a large bowl, dissolve the peach Jello in 2 cups of boiling water, stirring for at least 2 minutes until completely dissolved. Add 2 cups of cold water and stir to combine. Allow the Jello to cool to room temperature.
- Assemble the Salad: Once the Jello has cooled, arrange the sliced peaches over the cream cheese layer. Carefully pour the cooled Jello over the peaches. Refrigerate until the Jello is fully set, about 2-4 hours.
- Serve: Slice and serve chilled. Enjoy your Peach Pretzel Jello Salad!
Notes
- You can customize this salad with different flavors of Jello and fruits.
- Ensure the Jello is at room temperature before pouring it over the cream cheese layer to prevent melting.
