Nutty Churro Bites with Nutella are quick and irresistible, perfect for spontaneous dessert cravings.
Ingredients
For the Dough
- 1 cup Water
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter (Can substitute with salted butter)
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 tablespoon Granulated Sugar
- 1 cup All-Purpose Flour (Can substitute with gluten-free flour)
- 2 large Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
For Frying
- 2 cups Vegetable Oil (For deep frying)
For Dipping
- 1 cup Nutella (Warm before serving)
Instructions
- Melt Nutella: In the microwave until pourable, about 30 seconds to a minute. Set aside.
- Boil Water with Butter: In a medium saucepan over medium heat until rolling. Add salt and sugar.
- Mix Flour: Immediately after removing from heat. Stir vigorously until a smooth dough forms.
- Cool and Add Eggs: Cool the dough slightly, then add eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
- Prepare Cinnamon-Sugar Coating: Combine ground cinnamon and granulated sugar in a bowl.
- Heat Oil: In a deep pot until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- Pipe and Fry Dough: Pipe 4-6 inch strips of dough into the hot oil, fry for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Coat and Serve: Drain churros on paper towels, then roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture while still warm. Serve churro bites with warm Nutella dip.
