Description

These No-Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Bars are a simple and delicious treat, made with rolled oats, peanut butter, and rich chocolate. They’re perfect for a quick snack or dessert, requiring no baking and only a few ingredients.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Topping:

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the peanut butter, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and salt. Heat over low heat, stirring until the peanut butter is melted and the mixture is smooth. Once smooth, remove from heat.
  2. Stir in the rolled oats until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture into a greased or parchment-lined 8×8-inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  4. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 20-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth.
  5. Pour the melted chocolate over the oatmeal mixture and spread evenly.
  6. Refrigerate the bars for at least 1 hour, or until the chocolate has set and the bars are firm.
  7. Once set, cut into squares and serve.
