Description

These irresistible herb and cheese stuffed puff pastry bites are flaky, golden, and filled with a creamy, herby cheese mixture—perfect for parties, appetizers, or an elegant snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, parsley, Italian herbs, garlic, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and cut it into 2-inch squares.
  4. Place a small spoonful of the cheese mixture in the center of each square.
  5. Fold the corners over the filling to form a bite-sized parcel and pinch the edges to seal.
  6. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  7. Arrange on the baking sheet and bake for 15–18 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving warm.

  • You can use different cheeses like feta, cheddar, or gouda for variation.
  • These bites can be made ahead and frozen before baking—just bake directly from frozen, adding 3–5 extra minutes.
