- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (or regular paprika)
- 1/4 tsp blackening seasoning (optional)
Sauce:
- 3 Tbsp butter
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup honey
- 3 Tbsp water
- 3 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp sriracha sauce
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Pat salmon dry and season: Season salmon with salt, pepper, paprika, and blackening seasoning. Set aside.
- Preheat broiler: Adjust oven rack to the middle position and preheat broiler.
- Prepare sauce: In an oven-safe skillet, melt butter and oil over MED-HIGH heat. Add garlic, water, soy sauce, sriracha, honey, and lemon juice. Cook until heated through.
- Cook salmon: Place salmon in the skillet, skin side down if applicable, and cook for 3 minutes. Baste frequently with the sauce.
- Broil salmon: Broil the salmon for 5-6 minutes, basting once during cooking, until caramelized and cooked to your liking.
- Garnish and serve: Garnish with minced parsley if desired before serving.
Notes
- If preferred, the salmon can be pan-seared before adding the sauce for a different cooking method.
- If the sauce is too watery, consider reducing the amount of water or simmering the sauce longer before adding the salmon.
