Ingredients

Pasta:

  • 10 oz (300 g) chickpea flour pasta, or any high-protein pasta

Beef Sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, finely diced
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, finely diced
  • 1 pound (450 g) lean ground beef
  • 4 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 cup (250 g) tomato sauce, passata
  • ½ cup (125 g) light cream cheese
  • ½ cup (125 g) light sour cream
  • 68 fresh basil leaves

Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta: Boil chickpea flour pasta according to package instructions. Reserve pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté Onion and Pepper: In a skillet, sauté onion and pepper in olive oil until soft.
  3. Cook Beef: Add ground beef, garlic, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned.
  4. Add Sauces: Mix in tomato paste and sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in Cream Cheese: Add cream cheese and sour cream, cook until creamy.
  6. Combine Pasta and Sauce: Toss cooked pasta in beef sauce. Add pasta water if needed.
  7. Finish and Serve: Sprinkle basil, adjust seasoning, and serve hot.
