Ingredients
Pasta:
- 200g pasta (7.1 oz)
Garlic Butter Tomato Sauce:
- 25g salted butter (1 tbsp + 2 tsps)
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 150ml chicken stock (1/2 cup + 2 tbsps)
- 1/8 tsp black pepper
- 1/8 tsp red chilli flakes
- 1/4 tsp mixed herbs
- 10g grated parmesan cheese (around 1/8 cup)
Instructions
- Boil the Pasta: Cook pasta in salted water with a bit of oil until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare the Sauce: Melt butter in a pan, sauté garlic until golden. Add tomato paste, chicken stock, spices, and herbs. Simmer.
- Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add cooked pasta to the sauce, mix well. Stir in additional butter and parmesan cheese.
- Serve: Garnish with more parmesan before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to adjust salt levels based on your preference.
- Season the dish to suit your taste.
- If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water for desired consistency.
- For a richer flavor, increase butter and cheese amounts.
- You can use chicken stock powder diluted in water as a substitute for chicken stock.
