Ingredients
Chicken:
- 4 pieces Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Sauce:
- 1 cup Barbecue sauce
- 1 cup Pineapple chunks, drained
- 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion powder
- to taste Salt
- to taste Pepper
- as needed Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Place the chicken: Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Mix the sauce: In a medium bowl, combine barbecue sauce, pineapple chunks, soy sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Add sauce to chicken: Pour the sauce over the chicken in the crockpot, ensuring it’s well coated.
- Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until chicken is tender.
- Shred and return to sauce: Shred chicken, return to crockpot, mix with sauce.
- Serve: Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.
