Description

A simple and delicious meal featuring tender chicken breasts cooked in a sweet and tangy pineapple BBQ sauce.


Ingredients

Chicken:

  • 4 pieces Boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Sauce:

  • 1 cup Barbecue sauce
  • 1 cup Pineapple chunks, drained
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • as needed Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken: Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Mix the sauce: In a medium bowl, combine barbecue sauce, pineapple chunks, soy sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Add sauce to chicken: Pour the sauce over the chicken in the crockpot, ensuring it’s well coated.
  4. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until chicken is tender.
  5. Shred and return to sauce: Shred chicken, return to crockpot, mix with sauce.
  6. Serve: Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.
