Description

Spicy Italian sausage, peppers, and garlic cooked in a Cajun-spiced Parmesan cream sauce, combined with cheese ravioli for a flavorful and creamy dish that’s ready in just about 35 minutes.


Ingredients

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Spicy Italian Sausage
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1/2 Red Bell Pepper, diced
  • 1/2 Green Bell Pepper, diced
  • 1/2 Large Red Onion, diced
  • 67 Garlic Cloves, minced

Seasonings:

  • 1 tbsp Mrs Dash Ultimate Garlic Blend or any garlic blend
  • 1 tsp Cajun Seasoning (e.g., Slap Ya Mama Hot Seasoning)
  • 1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes

Sauce and Ravioli:

  • 1/4 Cup Beef or Chicken Broth
  • 1 Cup Heavy Cream
  • 3/41 Cup Freshly Grated Parmesan
  • 25 oz Bag of Frozen Cheese Ravioli
  • 1/4 Cup Reserved Pasta Water

Instructions

  1. Cook Sausage and Vegetables: Heat olive oil in a skillet, cook sausage, peppers, onion, and garlic. Add garlic blend, Cajun seasoning, and red pepper flakes; cook until meat is done.
  2. Make Cream Sauce: Stir in broth, heavy cream, and Parmesan until creamy.
  3. Cook Ravioli: Prepare ravioli per package instructions; reserve pasta water.
  4. Combine and Simmer: Add ravioli and pasta water to the skillet; simmer for 10–15 minutes until sauce thickens.
  5. Adjust and Serve: Taste, adjust seasoning as needed, and serve hot.

Notes

  • Make the sauce ahead of time and boil fresh ravioli when ready to serve.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days.
  • Reheat gently on the stove with a bit of broth or cream.
