Description

Cottage Cheese Tiramisu is a lighter twist on the classic Italian dessert that packs 12 grams of protein and is not overly sweet. This recipe uses cottage cheese, almond milk, maple syrup, and coffee to create a delicious and protein-rich treat.

Ingredients

Cottage Cheese Mixture:

  • 2 cups cottage cheese
  • 6 tablespoons milk (unsweetened almond milk)
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Additional Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup cold coffee
  • 18 ladyfingers
  • 1 tablespoon cacao powder

Instructions

  1. Prepare Cottage Cheese Mixture: Rinse cottage cheese in a sieve with cold water, then blend with milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Layer Tiramisu: Dip ladyfingers in cold coffee and layer them with the cottage cheese mixture in a loaf pan.
  3. Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the tiramisu for at least 4 hours, then dust with cacao powder, slice, and serve cold.

Notes

  • Store the tiramisu tightly covered in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • Avoid freezing as the texture may change upon thawing.
