A comforting and delicious one-pan dish featuring cheesy ranch potatoes and savory smoked sausage, baked to golden perfection. This easy recipe is perfect for a cozy family dinner or a casual gathering with friends.

Ingredients

Potatoes:

  • 2 lbs. baby red potatoes (washed and quartered)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (about 1 oz.)
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Sausage:

  • 1 lb. smoked sausage (sliced into rounds)
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Garnish and Optional:

  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
  • ½ cup sour cream (optional, for serving)
  • ¼ cup sliced green onions (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Heat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Prepare the Potatoes: In a large mixing bowl, toss quartered potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, ranch seasoning, and black pepper.
  3. Arrange on the Baking Sheet: Spread the seasoned potatoes in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Roast the Potatoes: Bake at 400°F (200°C) for about 25-30 minutes until golden and crispy, shaking the pan halfway through for even cooking.
  5. Add the Sausage: After 25-30 minutes, add sliced sausage on top of the potatoes and mix to combine.
  6. Add the Cheese: Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the potato and sausage mixture and return to the oven for 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Once cooked, garnish with parsley and green onions. Serve with sour cream if desired.
