Ingredients
For the Filling:
- Cooking spray
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped yellow onion (from 1 medium)
- 1 tsp. seasoned salt (such as Lawry’s)
- 3/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
For the Topping:
- 1/2 cup all-purpose baking mix (such as Bisquick Original Pancake & Baking Mix)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
For Serving:
- Toppings: diced tomato, shredded lettuce, chopped red onions, chopped pickles, Burger Sauce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9-inch pie plate with cooking spray.
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef and onion until browned and crumbly. Drain if needed, then add seasoned salt, garlic powder, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Spread the meat mixture in the pie plate and top with shredded cheese.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together baking mix, milk, and eggs until smooth. Pour this mixture evenly over the cheese and meat.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and set. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve with your favorite burger toppings like diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, red onions, pickles, or Burger Sauce.
