CARAMEL BUTTERCREAM
- 100 g butter, room temperature
- 165 g powdered sugar
- 2–3 teaspoon caramel
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- SALTED CARAMEL – In a medium-sized saucepan, combine granulated sugar and water, melt until golden brown. Stir in butter, then heavy cream and salt. Transfer to a bowl and let cool.
- APPLE CAKE – Preheat oven, prepare pan, mix dry ingredients, combine wet ingredients, fold in grated apples, bake, cool.
- CARAMEL BUTTERCREAM – Sift powdered sugar, mix butter, add powdered sugar, caramel, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
- ASSEMBLING – Place cooled cake on a dish, spread buttercream, swirl in caramel.
