Description

Make Cajun Honey Butter Salmon in about 15 minutes using a homemade Cajun seasoning blend and an easy Honey Garlic Butter sauce.


Ingredients

Cajun Salmon

  • 1 lb salmon (34 filets)
  • 1 tbsp cajun seasoning (adjust if store-bought)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Cajun Honey Butter Sauce

  • ¼ cup Butter, melted
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ tsp cajun seasoning (adjust if store-bought)
  • 5 cloves Garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle the salmon with the Cajun seasoning mix and rub it on both sides. Set aside.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  3. Mix the ingredients for the Cajun honey butter and set aside.
  4. Add the salmon to the pan skin side up and cook for about 3 minutes to get a browned sear.
  5. Flip the salmon and continue to cook until opaque (~3 more minutes).
  6. During the last minute of cooking, turn the heat down to medium low and pour half of the sauce on top of the salmon. Heat the sauce on the salmon.
  7. Pour the remaining sauce on the fish and top with parsley and lemon slices.

Notes

  • Adjust the spices if using Cajun seasoning from the store: Homemade spice blends are typically less salty.
  • Turn down the heat when adding the sauce to prevent burning.
  • Check for bones in the salmon fillets.
