Description

This Best Ever Quiche is a delightful combination of fluffy eggs, savory ham, and gooey cheese, all encased in a buttery crust. Perfect for a leisurely brunch or a quick weekday breakfast, this quiche is sure to become a family favorite.

Ingredients

For the Quiche:

  • 1 unbaked pie crust (9-inch), store-bought or homemade
  • 6 large eggs
  • ¾ cup milk or cream
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup cubed cooked ham
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 3 tablespoons chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F. Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie plate and crimp or decorate the edges if desired.
  2. Prepare the Egg Mixture: In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk or cream, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Layer the Ingredients: Evenly distribute the ham, 1 cup of cheese, and green onions into the pie crust.
  4. Add the Egg Mixture: Pour the prepared egg mixture over the filling. Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of cheese on top.
  5. Bake the Quiche: Bake the quiche uncovered for 35–40 minutes, or until the center is fully set.
  6. Serve: Allow the quiche to cool slightly for 5–10 minutes, then slice and serve warm.

Notes

  • No ham? Try cooked bacon, sausage, or smoked salmon as alternatives.
  • For a dairy-free version, use plant-based milk and dairy-free cheese.
  • For a crustless option, grease the pie plate and omit the crust for a gluten-free alternative.
  • Feel free to add pre-cooked veggies like mushrooms, spinach, or bell peppers to the quiche.
  • Experiment with different cheeses such as Gouda, Swiss, Monterey Jack, or feta for unique flavor profiles.
