Description

This banana bread is moist, tender, and packed with flavor, perfect for breakfast or a snack. Made with overripe bananas and simple pantry staples, it’s an easy and comforting treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs, mashed bananas, vanilla extract, and milk.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
  6. Fold in chopped walnuts or chocolate chips, if using.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
