These Bang Bang Chicken Sliders are an explosion of flavor in every bite! Crispy chicken, coated in a creamy, spicy sauce, all nestled between soft slider buns. Perfect for a game day snack, a party appetizer, or a fun dinner, these sliders are sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into small strips or bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

For the Bang Bang Sauce:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce (adjust to your spice preference)
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional for added sweetness)

For the Garnish:

  • Shredded lettuce
  • Pickles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken: In a bowl, marinate the chicken strips in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes to help tenderize and flavor the meat.
  2. Coat the chicken: In a separate shallow dish, combine the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Dredge the marinated chicken pieces in the flour mixture, making sure each piece is fully coated.
  3. Fry the chicken: Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, fry the chicken pieces in batches for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove the chicken from the oil and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  4. Make the Bang Bang Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, rice vinegar, and honey until smooth and well combined.
  5. Assemble the sliders: Slice the mini slider buns in half and lightly toast them, if desired. Drizzle some Bang Bang sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Place a crispy chicken piece on top, then drizzle with more sauce. Add shredded lettuce and pickles, if desired, and top with the other half of the bun.
  6. Serve: Serve these Bang Bang Chicken Sliders immediately for a spicy, crispy treat!
