- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
For the Pasta Mixture:
- 1 16-ounce box ziti pasta
- 16 ounces ricotta cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped basil
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded and divided
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Cook the ziti pasta until al dente, then set aside.
- In a skillet, cook the Italian sausage and ground beef with peppers, onions, and garlic.
- Add tomatoes, pasta sauce, Parmesan, cream, basil, sugar, seasonings, and simmer.
- In a bowl, mix ziti, ricotta, mozzarella, basil, and seasonings with some meat sauce.
- Layer meat sauce, ziti mixture, and cheese in a baking dish.
