Ingredients

Chicken:

  • 2 large chicken breasts, halved or 4 regular-sized pieces
  • 1 ½ tablespoon Adobo seasoning
  • ½ tablespoon chili powder

Panko Breading & Other Binders:

  • 1 ¼ cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoon hot sauce
  • ¼ cup buttermilk
  • ⅓ cup all-purpose flour

Hot Honey Sauce:

  • ½ cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Prepare Chicken: Season chicken with adobo seasoning and chili powder; marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Breading: Set up three bowls for breading – one with panko breadcrumbs and seasonings, one with eggs, hot sauce, and buttermilk, and one with plain flour. Coat chicken in flour, then egg mixture, and finally breadcrumbs.
  3. Bake: Preheat oven to 400°F, bake breaded chicken for 20 minutes.
  4. Make Hot Honey Sauce: In a saucepan, combine honey, cayenne, chili powder, and hot sauce. Heat on medium-low until combined.
  5. Glaze Chicken: Brush hot honey sauce on baked chicken. Serve with parsley.
