Ingredients

For the Stir Fry:

  • 1 tbsp olive, avocado, or vegetable oil
  • 1 large red bell pepper, cut into thin strips
  • 1 large green bell pepper, cut into thin strips
  • 2 lbs flank steak, cut into thin strips

For the Stir Fry Sauce:

  • 2 garlic cloves, pressed
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Stir Fry Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the garlic, ginger, soy sauce, brown sugar, and cornstarch. Set aside.
  2. Cook the Bell Peppers: Preheat a wok or large skillet with oil over medium heat. Cook the sliced bell peppers until golden brown, about 3 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. Cook the Beef: Increase the heat to high and add the beef strips to the pan. Cook until golden brown.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Return the bell peppers to the pan with the beef. Pour the prepared sauce over the steak and veggies. Cook for an additional 2-4 minutes.
