Description

A quick and easy recipe for Honey Garlic Shrimp that takes just 10 minutes to make. Succulent shrimp coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, perfect for a delicious meal.


Ingredients

For the Shrimp:

  • 450g / 1lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

For the Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3-4 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste (or grated ginger)
  • 4 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 tsp chilli flakes (optional)
  • 2 green onions (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Prepare the Shrimp: In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce and cornstarch. Add the shrimp and toss to coat. Set aside.
  2. Cook the Shrimp: Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Cook garlic and ginger for 30 seconds. Add shrimp and cook 1-2 minutes per side.
  3. Add the Sauce: Pour in honey and chilli flakes. Toss to coat shrimp. Remove from heat.
  4. Serve: Garnish with green onions. Serve over rice or as a starter.
